Brendan Kay is the Vice President of Business Development at Unison Solar Energy Pty Ltd, leading the company’s market expansion, strategic partnerships, and customer engagement across Australia and key international markets. With over 15 years of executive experience in the renewable energy sector, Brendan brings a strong track record in driving commercial growth, operational excellence, and brand strategy within dynamic, high-growth environments.

Before joining Unison, Brendan held senior leadership roles including Head of Sales for a national renewable energy provider and Chief Operating Officer for an energy retailer. In these roles, he played a central part in scaling operations, delivering customer-focused energy solutions, and executing strategies across embedded networks and energy storage.

An MBA graduate, Brendan combines commercial acumen with deep sector expertise, enabling him to identify emerging opportunities and guide market entry strategies in both established and frontier markets. At Unison, he is responsible for building and leading a high-performance national sales team, managing key distributor and EPC relationships, and positioning the company’s Australian-made solar products for long-term success across domestic and export markets.
