Dr. J. Allen Guo is a globally recognised photovoltaic industry leader with over 20 years of experience spanning academia and international enterprise leadership experience delivering GW-scale PV facilities across China, the US and SE Asia.

He began his PV career as Deputy Director of the UNSW PV Centre, leading the Commercialisation group that pioneered first-generation solar cell R&D. Since then, he went on to senior roles including President/CTO at E-Ton Solar and Topcell Solar International (UMC group), and global executive positions at Jinko Solar (COO), the world’s largest integrated PV manufacturer. He specialises in factory start-ups, automation (MES/ERP), yield/quality systems and supplier scaling.

Highlights include building Taiwan’s first fully automated 1 GW cell fab, leading Jinko’s Penang integrated 1.5 GW cell + 1.3 GW module ramp in ~6 months (later ~7 GW), a 400 MW US module plant, and multi-GW wafer/cell/module lines in China and Vietnam. He has received international recognition for innovation and execution, including SEMI Taiwan’s “Significant Contribution to the Taiwanese PV Industry” (2010).
